Don Briggs

Mr. Briggs received his undergraduate degree from Holy Cross College and his law degree from Suffolk University Law School, with honors, where he was the managing editor of the Suffolk Transnational Law Review. In addition to the state and federal courts in Maine, Don is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts in Massachusetts, including the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. Don began practicing in mid-coast Maine in 1988 after working for nine years in personal injury law firms in Boston and Worcester. Don has handled thousands of cases in his career. He specializes in helping victims of car accidents, medical malpractice, and other personal injury negligence cases. He is a board certified Civil Trial Advocate.

 

Mr. Briggs is President of the Maine Trial Lawyers Association and a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He is the past editor of Maine Verdicts and has been recognized as an Advocate by the National College of Trial Advocacy. He is a member of the AAJ Professional Negligence Section and the AAJ Medical Negligence Information Exchange Group.  Mr. Briggs is President of the Knox County Bar Association.

 

Mr. Briggs lives in Camden with his wife Kelly, an author/illustrator of children's books, and his two sons, Will and Bailey. His son Will currently attends Saint Michael's College in Colchester, Vermont.  Mr. Briggs was born on Feb. 7, 1954, in Hartford, Connecticut, United States of America.
